DESIGNER'S NOTES
Inspired by Peranakan themed embroideries and long silhouette of the Pahang Kebaya, our fresh take features an intricately embroided guipure lace in a multi-colored floral motif. The simple outline with a mandarin collar and subtle puff of the shoulders is embellished on the hemline and cuff with floral appliques cut out from the lace itself, further accented with crystals and diamantes. The slightly loose fit is enhanced by the split at the hem that lines upwards to three hand sewn cluster bead brooches. The sheer kebaya is lined with soft tulle, worn with a padded corset and ankle length overlap skirt.
